How wonderful is this medium through which we are communicating. How wonderful yet how many stop to wonder? In an instance we are communicating with people all over the globe, we strike up friendships, sometimes more. We exchange information or simply gather information We are informed, entertained, sometimes shocked, sometimes pleasantly surprised but always there is an interaction with the outside world. People in isolated communities are now part of a world wide community. People living alone, perhaps house bound, are now in touch with and can interact with the world. The events of the world can now be viewed from many angles, from many view points. It is true that there are many strange things placed on the web, some things that you may not agree with and some things which you may think should not be there at all.
However, have you ever wondered what this whole thing called the world wide web really represents? Well, consider this, some time ago now a certain Carl Gustav Jung coined a term which gained much favour in circles much wider than his own and this was The Universal Consciousness. Basically this is a group mind, everything which anyone, anywhere, anytime, has ever thought goes into this great mind. Everyone, to a greater or lesser degree is in contact with this consciousness for it is a two way communication, we each put in and we each take out, usually unconsciously. Though I do feel that some people, perhaps many people are able to consciously tap into this source of knowledge. However, like our own mind it can also be a cause of error, pain and suffering.
It seems to me though, that we each have a duty, if only to ourselves, to contribute only the good into this universal mind, for the Universal Consciousness will be representative of the sum total of all of human existence. Considering the principle of garbage in, garbage out, the more spiritually enlightened, the more gracious, the more caring, you are, the better state is the Universal Consciousness with a knock on effect for us all.
Consider then how important is a healthy mind, how important is a healthy universal mind. Not that I am advocating any form of censorship, that would be futile and only grant greater energy available to what is undesirable. The real answer is to increase your own input of good for this will then dilute the bad. Each person who improves their own mind, improves the universal mind and therefore the minds of us all. So I ask you to consider this matter and apply to it your rational and your intuitive mind. The www is not the Universal Consciousness merely something of a representative of it. If we see things upon it that mirror, to the rational and sane mind, disease and corruption. Consider this, is not the same affliction consuming the great universal mind and if our own minds are a part of the universal mind then we too are being infected, unconsciously, without or knowledge, maybe but nevertheless or nonetheless we suffer the ills of the world.
We are a part of this grand scheme, it behoves us to play our part well and reap the rewards due. It is not my intention to spread doom and gloom amongst you, for I do feel that we are getting better and better. There is, it seems, an acceleration of evolution which is having a knock on effect for as the individual develops higher values, so the universal mind develops higher values, and so the individual develops higher values. A steady progress which is encouraging to say the least, that is not to say that we should, for one moment desist in our efforts. Every thought has an effect dependent on the thought. No matter how well developed your self-esteem, your thoughts affect us all. Yes, your thoughts, will have an effect on me, and everyone else, so please please, watch what you do with them.
