I have spent many years as a therapist increasing my knowledge of various therapies and expanding my experience, to be able to help more and more people who have different needs. More (link to ***
Do I need treatment for a long time?
It has been shown that most people can benefit from some therapy, but most people don't need too much of it. Whether using mind therapies, energy therapies or physical therapies, much of the therapeutic benefit consolidates between sessions, after you have left my consulting room. So these two aspects combined mean that I will generally advise you to cease treatment when you are 80% of the way towards your desired outcome. This is cost-effective for you and also empowers you to complete your own changes, you are doing the healing and changing, I'm providing the tools to assist you.
How many sessions do I need?
This is entirely dependent on the issues you bring to treatment, but will always be as brief as possible. I have many clients who come for a few sessions, end therapy as their problem is resolved and then return months or years later when they are ready to tackle the next issue or simply need rejuvenating and restoring. Conversely, some clients have been with me for years even following me when I have moved clinics, these are people who fully realise the benefits of caring for the mind, body and soul and undertake regular maintenance of body and soul. They feel they are worth it - are you?
An initial holistic session lasts up to 2 hours, follow ups up to 1 1/2 hours. The initial session involves assessing your whole needs and agreeing a treatment plan. Once formulated, we will begin some clinical interventions or simply use the time available for some deep healing. Session 2 begins your treatment or ends your treatment as your needs dictate, and we go forward or part company from there. My treatments are for you and about you, you are the expert on you, treatment will never be dragged out beyond what is necessary for you at that time.
The UK government has recently endorsed the brief therapy intervention, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), whilst this is primarily a counselling technique, Cognitive Hypnotherapy has a very similar focus. It is a brief therapy intervention (2-5 sessions being the norm) and it is cognitive, that is focuses on the client having an awareness of the processes involved in their issues and empowers the client to resolve them from their inner resources, under guidance. NLP techniques help to resolve and dissolve unwanted behaviours inappropriate to the 'new you'.
Can I just get one treatment on its own?
Yes. If you are happier with a place to start, or are used to therapy and know what suits you best, then you can book an individual therapy.
Is it confidential?
