Nature of your Business: What does your Company do?
Proposed Name of website: This is know as a domain name and is a unique name which people type in when the want to visit your site. It is sometimes difficult to get the exact name you.
Purpose of website: Every website should have a clearly defined purpose. Having a website just because everyone else has one is not an acceptable strategy. What is your websites purpose?
a. Transactional sales-oriented site
b. Customer service/support site
c. How to, instructional site
d. Product or service demonstration site
e. Lead generation site
f. Marketing, branding, positioning site
g. Promotional campaign site
h. Viral or buzz creation site
i. Spread a message site.

This is an important question so take your time and when you are ready you should be able to sum up your sites purpose in one or two sentences.

Technology needed:
Links. People often want to link to other sites on the internet. Most want to opt in to the Holistic Directory
Forms. You are filling in a form now. Usually people want contact or feedback forms.
Counter. Some people want to know how many visitors they are getting to their site.
Guestbook. If it is important that your visitors leave comments/revues then go for this. You will need to monitor the comments yourself.
Shopping Cart. If you plan to sell thing from your site you will need one of these. If you have a large number of products you will need to manage this yourself but it is as simple as filling in a form.
Other. Let me know, as best you can, what other things you will need on your site.

Websites not liked: Let me know the websites you really dislike this is as important as the ones you do like.
Do you have:
Company Logo. Scan the logo and email it as an attachment or send through the post.
Company colour scheme. If you know the colour hex or rgb values send these in comments or later with the design brief. Alternatively you can send me brochures or leaflets later.
Design brief. If you are clear about exactly what you want, check the box and send your design brief separately
Comments: Finally send me any other information which you wish me to know.

The Design and Build Process.

  1. Design follows function, hence the filling in of this form.
  2. From the information we receive we may need to contact you for further discussion to clarify that we can meet your needs.
  3. One time set up fee is received, if applicable, then work commences.
  4. Assembly of the components, we will write the code for forms, carts and other components which are needed to fulfil the function.
  5. Assembly of content, this is where you send me all the content you would like, writing, images.
  6. The commission of any copy which you wish us to write for you.
  7. The build, we will assemble a white site, for you to proof read and test the components.
  8. Once the white site is signed off we add the design, colours, positioning, typeface, etc.
  9. Once this site is accepted we arrange for subscription payments.
  10. We can then arrange for the domain name and host the site where everyone can reach it.
  11. We then promote your site to the Search Engines, which is repeated monthly.
  12. Updates will be required as you work with your site and we can arrange for these to be done when required.
